<What is Production and Information Systems Engineering?>
As society becomes increasingly diverse, global and more complex, new production methods
become crucial. The Department of Production and Information Systems Engineering has
planned a new advanced production system to meet the challenge. We offer basic education
and research for solving problems of entire production systems including planning,
production, maintenance, and implementation. In particular, our objective is to view the
production system not just from the old paradigm of the final product, but from the value
added to the production process.
|
<Study Objectives>
TThe Department of Production and Information Systems Engineering specializes in
three major fields: Production Management, Information Engineering, and System
Mathematical Engineering. It places emphasis on acquiring capabilities in both theoretical
and practical research. Utilizing management and computer technology, our objective is to
design technology for production systems that are adaptable to changes in production
environment. To this is added the existing material and information flow-centered
thinking, the factors of human resource and environmental influences.
