Masterfs Course ^ Doctorfs Course

Department of Intelligent Systems

The research in this Department deals with both theory and practice on intelligent systems, for example, Systems Design, Systems Management Engineering, Information Sciences and Applied Mathematics and Environment and Human Systems and so on. The aim of the Department is to bring up scientists or engineers who can cope with various problems encountered in highly intelligent recycling societies. In addition, this department organizes research systems which can confer both masterfs and doctorfs degree for engineering as well as science for the purpose of supplying active, talented persons in the relevant areas.

Division of Systems Design Engineering

The division offers the research programs on Systems Design in the fields of information, communication, education, production and logistics. Noting the fact that multifarious pieces of knowledge relating to bio-engineering, psychology, cognition, social science, economics, law and ethics, are needed in todayfs society, students will be encouraged to study so that they may contribute to the global engineering with broader perspectives, richer originality and higher abilities of solving problems.

Division of Management Engineering

This division offers the research on methods, procedures and rules for solving management problems with manufacture, sale and logistics from the point of view of engineering. It has a wide coverage of study areas including prediction, plan, decision and control and so on. The students are expected to be engineers with high abilities of solving problems free from some particular engineering techniques.

 Division of Social Systems

Industrial and/or social structures, and interaction between human beings and information are studied in the division. Students are encouraged to study here with a balanced sense of humanities and engineering so that they can approach problems caused from a variety of aspects of society and/or human beings.

Division of Informational Sciences and Applied Mathematics

This division conducts research on Information Sciences and Applied Mathematics which give the foundation of developing newly emerged systems for coping with social needs as well as conventional systems such as information and production systems. Especially, this division aims at bringing up scientists or engineers who have flexible conceptions and sharp insight for various systems modeling, design and management.

Division of Environment and Amenity Ergonomics

The 21st century is an environment and amenity-oriented age considering humanity. This division offers the research programs on the harmony of environment, man and machine system for highly considering humanity relating to the occupational ergonomics, amenity ergonomics, environment energy and chemistry. Students in the course are expected to study a wide range of basic knowledge as well as skills to solve the practical problems.
